I am a tutor with a passion for teaching and inspiring young people! My specialties are Elementary Math, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, Special Education, and ESL. I have worked in grades kindergarten to the 6th grade, and I am committed to working one-on-one with my students to ensure they have the best possible education. Besides working as a teacher, I have been a substitute, worked in daycare, and worked as a librarian in an elementary setting. I hold a certification to teach in Arizona and Texas. I work not only individually with my students, but I also involve their parents in the process. I feel their involvement makes a difference in how well the students succeed in class. Because of my work in these previous settings, I have a lot of tools to aid students, so they can learn in the way that works best for them.I graduated from the University of North Texas, and I have a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in Elementary Education. I also have a specialization in teaching ESL. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, including attending sporting events, being outdoors, and working with my two young children on craft projects and reading.
