Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education and my graduate degree in special education. I went on to become certified as a special education teacher which gave me the tools and resources necessary to teach students regardless of their learning challenges. I have been working with students in general education and special education classrooms for more than a decade. First as a paraprofessional and then as classroom teacher. Over the course of my career I have developed numerous engaging lessons for students to help them comprehend even the most complicated math, history, reading, or science concepts. It has been my observation that students become more enthusiastic learners when they are enjoying themselves! I currently tutor algebra 1, elementary school math, high school and college level English, reading, writing, phonics, essay editing, English grammar and syntax, and math. I have been tutoring children since my own early childhood. I have always been passionate about learning and teaching others and believe it is my purpose in life. I work diligently to ensure I meet the learning needs of my students by taking the time to get to know them and discover what motivates them and what they have been struggling with.
